The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of HRMS and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the functions of the Human Resources Management Section. The role involves collecting and managing data from multiple sources, ensuring the accuracy of databases, and integrating new information. The intern will also contribute to the improvement of existing tools and processes, automate manual tasks, and assist in the design and development of Power BI dashboards that provide analytical insights. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Collecting data from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems to support HR functions.
Regularly updating and maintaining databases to ensure data accuracy and the integration of new information.
Assisting in the cleaning and structuring of organizational HR data for seamless integration into various tools.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing HR tools by identifying user needs and proposing tailored solutions.
Automating manual processes for the HR team and the organization using data tools, which includes developing workflows for repetitive tasks and creating tools for data extraction, analysis, and document generation.
Assisting in the design and development of Power BI dashboards that integrate advanced data analysis and visualizations to support organizational decision-making.
Preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to communicate findings and insights.
Participating in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster collaboration and learning within the team.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application: a. Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), c. Have graduated with a Bachelor's degree, Master's, PhD, or equivalent. Additionally, candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite. A demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter are essential. Candidates should also have the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, showing a willingness to understand and tolerate differing opinions and views.
