Job Overview:
The Analyst/ Senior Analyst position at WJCF is crucial for the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the Project iLIFT, which focuses on integrated lung health initiatives in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and analytical skills, who can effectively communicate and engage with various stakeholders. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning practices of the project, ensuring adherence to the project's M&E framework. This includes conducting primary and secondary research, generating insights for strategic decision-making, and collaborating closely with program teams, government stakeholders, and field staff. The position also involves designing user-friendly M&E tools, maintaining project databases, and producing performance and research reports, all aimed at enhancing the project's impact and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Routine program M&E: Ensure compliance with the project M&E framework, design monitoring plans, and develop performance indicators. Maintain dashboards and prepare analytical reports.
  • Research and Learning: Support research design and implementation, conduct literature reviews, and synthesize findings for dissemination.
  • Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting: Maintain high-quality databases, perform data analysis, and prepare progress reports.
  • Capacity Building and Technical Support: Build capacity of government stakeholders in monitoring activities and support training of service providers.
  • Evaluation and Learning: Support evaluations and synthesize findings for knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Liaise with program teams and partners to align data strategies and support evidence-based communication.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), analytics, or research. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical tools, and the ability to synthesize complex data are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preference will be given to those with experience in research and government stakeholder management.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding public health issues, research methodologies, and data analysis techniques relevant to the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in monitoring and evaluation, analytics, or research. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing data and conducting analyses that inform program decisions. Experience in engaging with government stakeholders and working in a multicultural environment is highly desirable.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages are essential for effective collaboration and reporting. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
