Job Overview: The position of IC Revisión Intermedia (MTR) for the GOLD+ Project involves conducting a mid-term review (MTR) to assess the progress and effectiveness of the project. The contractor will be responsible for evaluating the project's implementation, identifying challenges, and providing recommendations for improvement. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of project management and evaluation methodologies, as well as the ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner. The contractor will work closely with project stakeholders, including UNDP staff and local partners, to gather information and insights necessary for the review. The expected duration of the assignment is 50 effective working days over a period of 12 weeks, during which the contractor will be expected to deliver a detailed report outlining the findings of the review and actionable recommendations for the project's future direction.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the IC Revisión Intermedia (MTR) include but are not limited to:
Conducting a thorough analysis of the GOLD+ Project's objectives, strategies, and implementation processes.
Engaging with stakeholders to gather qualitative and quantitative data related to the project's performance.
Assessing the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the project outcomes.
Providing evidence-based recommendations for improving project performance and achieving desired outcomes.
Preparing and presenting a comprehensive mid-term review report that includes findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Collaborating with UNDP staff and other partners to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
Participating in meetings and discussions to share insights and progress updates throughout the review process.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in conducting project evaluations or reviews, preferably in the context of international development.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to convey information clearly to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with UNDP's policies and procedures related to project management and evaluation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, project management, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in project evaluation or monitoring and evaluation (M&E) methodologies would be an asset.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project evaluation, monitoring, or management, particularly in the context of international development projects. Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the project operates in Ecuador. Proficiency in English is also required, as it may be necessary to communicate findings to international stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This position is offered as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 50 effective working days over a period of 12 weeks. The contractor will be expected to work remotely and may need to travel within Ecuador if required for stakeholder engagement. Compensation will be based on the contractor's qualifications and experience, and benefits may include access to UNDP resources and networks.
