Job Overview:
The position of Consultant Assistant (E) Technique à la Coordination Humanitaire at UNFPA Côte d’Ivoire is integral to the implementation of the 9th cooperation program (2026-2030) with the Ivorian government, which emphasizes disaster risk reduction. The role involves providing technical support to the country office and execution partners in the effective preparation and implementation of humanitarian response projects. The consultant will contribute to the development of project documents for resource mobilization, assist in the coordination and supervision of implementation partners, and ensure the continuity of essential sexual and reproductive health services in crisis situations. The consultant will also be involved in data collection and reporting, ensuring that the UNFPA's humanitarian interventions are well-documented and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: providing technical support to the country office and execution partners in the preparation and implementation of humanitarian response projects; contributing to the development of the 2026 Business Continuity Plan; preparing project documents for resource mobilization; assisting in the development of technical documents related to the Minimum Emergency Device for Sexual and Reproductive Health; coordinating and supervising implementation partners; producing meeting minutes for humanitarian response initiatives; continuously monitoring the implementation of humanitarian intervention recommendations; collecting data for reporting and updating key indicator dashboards; organizing inter-agency monitoring and evaluation missions; enhancing the capacity of implementation partners in humanitarian reporting; contributing to the production of various reports; and preparing monthly and quarterly reports focused on results and humanitarian data.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree (BAC plus 5) in public health, social sciences, demography, economics, humanitarian action, development planning, or a related field. They should have at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in monitoring and implementing projects and programs in development or humanitarian emergency contexts related to UNFPA's mandate. A strong understanding of the inter-agency humanitarian programming cycle and the humanitarian architecture in Côte d'Ivoire is essential. Candidates should also have in-depth knowledge of the Minimum Emergency Device in reproductive health, GBV Minimum Standards, GBVIMS functioning, and humanitarian financing mechanisms. Experience in data collection and analysis, project formulation for conflict prevention, and social cohesion promotion is required, along with proficiency in office software and the ability to work in a multicultural team environment.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree (BAC plus 5) in relevant fields such as public health, social sciences, demography, economics, humanitarian action, or development planning is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the specific needs of populations affected by crises.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and implementing projects and programs, particularly in development or humanitarian emergency contexts. This experience should be relevant to the UNFPA's mandate and demonstrate the candidate's ability to work effectively in challenging environments.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and a good working knowledge of English is also required. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the organization and with external partners.

Additional Notes:
The position is a full-time consultancy role with a duration of eleven (11) months, which may be renewable. The consultant will be based in Bouna and may be required to travel internally to humanitarian areas in the northern regions, Abidjan, and other locations affected by humanitarian situations.
