Job Overview: The Senior Fundraising Associate (Individual & Private Sector) will play a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's fundraising efforts in Panama. This position focuses on enhancing the Individual Fundraising area by providing technical support in planning, monitoring, and evaluating fundraising campaigns. The role involves engaging with private sector partners and individual donors to maximize resources for children. The associate will assist in the implementation of the resource mobilization strategy, ensuring that fundraising efforts align with UNICEF's mission and objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for growth in private sector partnerships and individual giving initiatives, ultimately contributing to the sustainability of the Panama Country Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in preparing the Individual Fundraising plan and campaigns calendar, including objectives, metrics, and KPIs. Analyze campaign KPIs and investment requirements, and assist in establishing reporting systems and performance evaluations. Prepare documentation for project proposals and work plans. Conduct research and manage data effectively.
Undertake regular monitoring and evaluation of fundraising activities to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement. Prepare timely reports on performance indicators to enhance management accountability.
Execute administrative tasks efficiently, including evaluating potential suppliers and managing budgets in compliance with UNICEF regulations.
Support the development and monitoring of financial and non-financial agreements with private sector partners, conducting market analysis to identify opportunities and potential partners. Prepare proposals and ensure compliance with targets for existing agreements.
Coordinate workshops and events to raise awareness of best practices in the private sector and support advocacy for children's rights.
Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support advocacy and communications efforts.
Required Qualifications: Minimum requirements include completion of Secondary School, with 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in administration, communication, or fundraising. Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Desirable qualifications include technical or university-level courses in marketing, communication, business administration, or finance, along with experience in individual fundraising and marketing campaign coordination. Familiarity with UN/UNICEF operations is an advantage, especially in development or humanitarian contexts.
Educational Background: Candidates should have completed Secondary School as a minimum requirement. Additional desirable education includes technical or university-level courses in relevant fields such as marketing, communication, business administration, or finance, which are pertinent to the responsibilities of the position.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in areas such as administration, communication, or fundraising. Experience in individual fundraising, marketing campaign coordination, and data analysis is highly valued. Familiarity with the UN or UNICEF's operations, particularly in challenging contexts, is considered advantageous.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.
