Job Overview:
The position of Manager for Transaction Advisory - PPP at IFC is a pivotal role that involves overseeing the implementation of the organization's Transaction Advisory – PPP strategy across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. The successful candidate will report to the relevant Division Directors and will be responsible for leading a regional team focused on developing and executing Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects. This role requires significant market and industry experience to effectively grow and develop IFC’s PPP business in the regions. The Manager will also support the growth of IFC’s Corporate Finance Services business, which includes advising private clients on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and providing structuring advice. The position demands a strategic mindset, as the Manager will need to develop key client and government relationships, coordinate with global teams, and contribute to the overall management of the Asia & Pacific regions. The role is integral to ensuring that IFC’s advisory services provide high-quality, affordable, and efficient infrastructure and social services to the public, thereby enhancing the organization's impact in the regions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager will lead and manage a specialized transaction team across East Asia and the Pacific, ensuring that the team is high-performing, motivated, and innovative. Key responsibilities include: developing regional strategies for advisory business in partnership with Country Managers; providing oversight in drafting key transaction reports and project documentation; originating, executing, and managing a pipeline of PPP mandates and programs; achieving PPP Gross Mobilization targets and other KPIs; fostering strong relationships with World Bank Group counterparts; establishing key business and development targets; managing financial and operational risks in the regional PPP portfolio; and developing IFC’s brand in the PPP sector. The Manager will also build relationships with key regional stakeholders, including government counterparts, sponsors, investors, regulators, donors, and NGOs, to optimize IFC’s global knowledge and experience for client benefit.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in finance, business, law, public policy, consulting, or a related field, along with a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience. A strong background in infrastructure and public services advisory transactions is essential, with proven success in developing client relationships and executing mandates in challenging environments. Previous experience in PPP transaction advisory work in the region is highly desirable, along with a strong track record of business delivery, investment and advisory experience, and established professional credibility. Candidates should demonstrate superior business judgment, product development skills, client relationship management, and risk management capabilities. The ability to lead effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment, along with strong interpersonal skills, is crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant fields such as finance, business, law, public policy, or consulting. This advanced education is essential to equip the candidate with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of transaction advisory services in the PPP sector.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in infrastructure and public services advisory transactions. Experience in developing client relationships and executing mandates in challenging environments is critical. Previous work in PPP transaction advisory within the East Asia and Pacific regions is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of business delivery and investment experience.

Languages:
