Job Overview:
The CDC CoAg Consultant position is a consultancy role within UNICEF's Programme Group/WASH Section, focusing on managing and supporting the third-year activities of the Corporate Agreement (CoAg) with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The consultant will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and coordination between UNICEF and CDC, ensuring that project objectives are met effectively. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including WASH chiefs, project managers, and technical teams, to manage projects related to public health emergencies, including responses to diseases like monkeypox and cholera. The consultant will be responsible for preparing necessary documentation, facilitating project updates, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements, all while working under the guidance of the WASH Specialist and the Associate Director of Health.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties include facilitating the CoAg by updating project summaries, coordinating monthly calls with CDC and country offices, and submitting quarterly project and financial updates. The consultant will also develop a master project list, facilitate the annual report submission, and manage carryover requests from previous project years. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for developing proposals for new budget years, ensuring that all submissions meet CDC requirements. The role requires strong project coordination skills, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and effective communication to ensure the success of the projects under the CoAg.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in humanitarian WASH programming, with proven knowledge of WASH roles in public health emergencies. Experience in supporting or implementing WASH responses in such contexts is considered an asset. Strong project coordination and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Familiarity with CDC-funded projects and funding management is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.

Educational Background:
A degree in Public Health, Civil Engineering, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the principles and practices related to public health and WASH interventions.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of relevant professional experience, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background in managing WASH programs and responding to public health emergencies, showcasing their ability to navigate complex project environments and stakeholder relationships.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not explicitly required.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy is set to last from January 25, 2026, to December 31, 2026, and is primarily remote.
