Job Overview:
The Consultant for Strategic Partnerships and Resource Mobilization will play a crucial role in developing and managing UN Women’s strategic partnerships for the Egypt Country Office (ECO). This position involves designing and implementing a partnership strategy, setting annual priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing technical input to senior management for innovative partnerships. The consultant will also manage resource mobilization strategies, facilitate donor relationships, and ensure effective communication and advocacy strategies are in place. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities and maintaining effective relationships with donors, ensuring that UN Women ECO can achieve its goals in advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in Egypt.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage UN Women’s strategic partnerships for ECO, including designing and supporting the implementation of the partnership strategy, monitoring annual priorities and KPIs, and providing technical advice on managing relationships with key partners.
  • Manage and facilitate the implementation of resource mobilization strategies, including developing differentiated donor fundraising strategies, creating targeted products to mobilize resources, and providing technical support for project proposal development.
  • Build trust and maintain effective relationships with donors, preparing for missions and meetings, and acting as a direct entry point for donors.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office, ensuring that all activities align with UN Women’s mission and objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, women's studies, or a related area. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates should have at least 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in research, donor relations, resource mobilization, and/or business development, with a solid understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment issues. Experience working with the UN System or other international organizations is required, along with excellent analytical skills and a strong drive for results.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively contribute to the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in research, donor relations, resource mobilization, and business development. Experience within the UN System or similar international organizations is essential, as is a solid understanding of gender equality and women's empowerment issues. Familiarity with the Arab States region, particularly Egypt, is considered an asset, and candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of any other UN official language, such as French, is considered an asset. This linguistic proficiency is crucial for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and for the successful execution of the role's responsibilities.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy position is hybrid, allowing for both home and office-based work. There will be no travel required as part of this assignment.
