Job Overview:
The Operations Officer position at the World Bank involves providing essential operational support to the Country Manager in Guinea. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders, including donors and civil society organizations. The Operations Officer will be responsible for compiling and disseminating information, managing the portfolio of projects, and contributing to the overall country program development. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders to facilitate dialogue and partnerships. The Operations Officer will also play a key role in tracking project outcomes and ensuring the quality of portfolio performance management, thereby contributing to the World Bank's mission of promoting sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty in Guinea.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Officer will undertake a variety of key responsibilities, including: providing general operational support to the Country Manager, attending meetings, and facilitating the provision of operational information; compiling and disseminating information to the country team and keeping minutes of key meetings; contributing to teamwork and workflow coordination focused on client service; managing the portfolio by facilitating in-country missions and providing guidance to task teams; producing reports and analyses of Guinea's portfolio; conducting regular corporate and country portfolio reviews; drafting briefing notes and coordinating the preparation of briefs for senior management; tracking results of the IDA and trust fund portfolio; supporting the Country Manager in work program delivery; responding to inquiries from clients and stakeholders; providing strategic advice to government and civil society counterparts; maintaining relationships with international agencies; and supervising and mentoring junior staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Operations Officer position must possess a Master's degree and have a minimum of five years of professional experience. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with mastery of corporate systems such as operations portals and standard reports. The ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix environment is crucial. Experience with multi-stakeholder governance and social accountability is highly valued, as is the ability to engage with non-traditional World Bank clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively deliver information and support team objectives.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree is required for this position, reflecting the advanced level of expertise needed to navigate the complexities of operations within the World Bank. This educational background should ideally be complemented by relevant professional experience in operations, project management, or a related field.

Experience:
