Job Overview: The position of Coordinateur·trice Finance / RH involves leading and coordinating the Finance and Human Resources services of the country office. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring the financial balance of the mission and compliance with Solidarités International's procedures, donor requirements, and local legislation. As a representative of the headquarters during deployments, the Coordinator plays a key role in upholding the organization's mandate and procedures in the assigned country offices. The OSS Finance and HR team operates under the hierarchical supervision of the Director of Operations and works closely with the mission leader or relevant desk. The role requires the ability to analyze the socio-economic context, manage both expatriate and national human resources, oversee monthly payroll, manage teams, and handle financial, accounting, and budgetary management, as well as administrative management and treasury management. The Coordinator is also responsible for reporting and communication with the headquarters and donors.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinateur·trice Finance / RH include:
Analyzing the socio-economic context of the country of operation.
Managing human resources for both expatriate and national staff.
Overseeing the monthly payroll process.
Leading and managing the team effectively.
Handling financial, accounting, and budgetary management for the mission.
Managing administrative tasks related to the mission.
Overseeing treasury management.
Reporting and communicating with the headquarters and donors.
Supervising all administrative personnel within the coordination and exercising functional authority over base administrators.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include a diploma in financial management, business school education, accounting, or a related field. Candidates should have significant experience (more than 1 year) in a similar role as a Finance and HR Coordinator, preferably with Solidarités International or another NGO. Experience in team management and capacity building is also essential. Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of the humanitarian sector and donor requirements, as well as proficiency in SAGA and HOMERE software. Strong Excel skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure and manage stress during crises. Candidates should demonstrate reactivity, adaptability, rigor, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Experience working in multidisciplinary and international teams is also important.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a degree in financial management, business administration, accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution. A background in humanitarian work or experience with NGOs is highly desirable.
Experience: Candidates should have at least one year of significant professional experience in a Finance and HR Coordinator role, preferably within the humanitarian sector or with an NGO. Experience in team management and capacity building is also required, as well as familiarity with the operational challenges faced in humanitarian contexts.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is mandatory, with a very good level of reading, writing, and speaking. Proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic or Spanish is considered a plus and would enhance a candidate's profile.
Additional Notes: This position is a permanent contract (CDI) with expatriate status and is classified as a managerial role. The salary is calculated based on the expatriate salary scale, starting from 2,600 euros per month. Per diem and accommodation are covered during deployments, and employees are entitled to one day off for each weekend spent in the field, along with 25 days of paid leave. There are no RTT (reduction of working time) benefits. Health insurance, life insurance, and repatriation coverage are fully provided. The location is flexible, allowing for work in France or abroad outside of deployment periods.
