Job Overview:
The Driver position is crucial for ensuring the smooth transportation of authorized personnel and the timely delivery and collection of important documents and items. Under the guidance of the Regional Procurement & Supply Chain Officer and the Senior Regional Supply Chain Assistant, the driver will be responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition, and adhering to all driving regulations. The role also involves facilitating airport pickups and managing vehicle-related administrative tasks, making it essential for the driver to be organized and proactive in their duties. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents, and other items.
  • Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.
  • Deliver mail and pouch from and to the organization and to and from entities in Egypt, including government and private sectors.
  • Follow up on vehicle registration and liaise with related government entities to ensure the completion of all processes.
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, including checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.
  • Perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and in good condition.
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
  • Follow the required steps by rules and regulations in case of involvement in an accident. 1
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school degree/certificate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid national driver’s license.
  • Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles.
  • Knowledge of radio, email, telephone, and other applications.
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess at least a high school degree or certificate, with a minimum of two years of relevant working experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is acceptable. This educational background ensures that the candidate has the necessary foundational knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the driver effectively.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have experience in driving various types of vehicles, demonstrating a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. Familiarity with driving rules and regulations is essential, as is the ability to navigate effectively in urban and rural settings. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage, as it indicates the candidate's capability to handle the responsibilities associated with the position.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic is required for this position, both oral and written. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and for fulfilling the role's responsibilities in a multilingual environment.
