Job Overview: The position involves overseeing the CDCS/AFD funded project, ensuring global coordination between SI, associated partners, and key stakeholders. The role requires the development of a vision and implementation strategy for the project, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to targets, budget management, and quality assurance. The project requires coherence across its components to ensure relevance and impact, necessitating internal coordination among multi-base projects and teams working with an emergency lens alongside headquarters. The first 2-3 months will focus on monitoring preliminary studies prior to construction and launching complementary activities based on results and activity schedules, while facilitating information flow among all stakeholders.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with experience in project management cycles. Experience working with local actors is essential. While technical skills in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) are not mandatory, they are considered a strong asset. Candidates should have experience in development project management, coordination, and external representation, as well as strong writing and reporting skills. Field teams will include engineers capable of describing technical specifications and conducting site and work monitoring. A WASH coordinator will provide technical support, but candidates should be prepared to meet AFD requirements, which include a significant volume of technical documentation, necessitating some background in WASH or hydraulic engineering.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as project management, international relations, or a related discipline. A strong understanding of project management cycles and experience in development projects are crucial for success in this role.
Experience: Candidates should have substantial experience in project management, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts. Experience working with local actors and managing multi-stakeholder projects is highly valued. Familiarity with WASH-related projects and technical documentation is preferred, although not strictly required.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of French is essential for communication with French donors. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with local stakeholders and communities effectively.
Additional Notes: The position offers a temporary expatriate contract with a salary calculated based on the expatriate salary scale, starting at €2,860 per month. Per diem and accommodation are covered during deployments, and employees receive one day off for each weekend spent in the field, along with 25 days of paid vacation. There is no reduced working time (RTT) policy. Health and life insurance, as well as repatriation coverage, are fully provided. Candidates have the flexibility to choose their location (France or abroad) outside of deployment periods. It is important to note that Kyiv is classified as security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security level 2/5 according to SI grading, indicating a low residual security risk, although there are regular air alerts and attacks from Russian forces, particularly at night.
