Job Overview:
As a Senior Program Officer (SPO) for HIV/TB Delivery and Introduction, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse portfolio of grants and investments aimed at scaling up HIV prevention and treatment programs. This role emphasizes the introduction and delivery of innovative biomedical interventions, such as long-acting PrEP and AI technologies for self-care. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a multi-year investment strategy that encompasses primary prevention, testing, and treatment, with specific milestones for coverage, equity, cost, and health impact.
  • Act as a strategic advisor within the HIV team regarding product introduction and delivery, contributing to long-term vision and investment strategies.
  • Lead the introduction of new and under-utilized tools, ensuring alignment of guidelines, pricing, procurement, and service models for large-scale implementation.
  • Collaborate with global and country stakeholders to coordinate the rollout of new HIV prevention tools through optimized service delivery models.
  • Work with governments and stakeholders to design and implement digital tools, including AI for self-care, and utilize program analytics to track resource allocation and uptake.
  • Enhance HIV testing strategies by integrating various testing methods and ensuring comprehensive service delivery.
  • Serve as a country coordinator, maintaining an in-depth understanding of the local policy and programmatic landscape.
  • Manage a complex portfolio of grants and investments, co-creating national introduction and scale-up plans with relevant health ministries and organizations.
  • Align partners on policy adoption, procurement, training, demand generation, and quality assurance to facilitate successful scale-up. 1
