Job Overview:
The Program Assistant position at WJCF, which operates under the Clinton Health Access Initiative, is aimed at supporting the Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) and Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) programs. The successful candidate will be part of the Technical Support Unit (TSU) and will play a crucial role in managing programmatic and surveillance data related to LF and VL. This role involves compiling, validating, and analyzing data from various sources to improve data quality and facilitate informed decision-making by national and state actors. The Program Assistant will report directly to the M&E Lead at NCVBDC and will be expected to contribute to the overall goals of the TSU by enhancing the technical and managerial capacity of the National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC).

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Assistant will have a variety of responsibilities, including: assisting with regular data collection and validation for effective use of supply chain management tools, preparing monthly reports and conducting basic analyses to support program decision-making, contributing to the strengthening of supply chain management processes for the National Vector Borne Disease Control Program, supporting data management training and capacity-building initiatives, managing the e-filing process for LF and VL divisions, addressing queries from the ministry, engaging in meetings and workshops, and mentoring LF and KA division consultants to ensure effective transition of data sets and transfer of skills and knowledge. The role may also involve performing additional tasks as assigned by the TSU M&E and Team lead.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel (including formulas and Macros/VBA), PowerPoint, and mobile applications. Previous experience in managing and analyzing large data sets is required, as well as exceptional diplomatic and interpersonal skills. The ability to build relationships, solve problems, meet deadlines, evaluate systems holistically, and think creatively in challenging situations is crucial. Candidates should also be able to work independently and proactively manage projects with minimal supervision.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. This educational background should provide the necessary foundation for understanding health systems, data management, and program evaluation, which are critical for the role of Program Assistant.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field, particularly in roles that involve data management, program support, or health systems strengthening. Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets is particularly valuable, as is familiarity with supply chain management tools and processes.

Languages:
