Job Overview:
The Writer/Editor III, Institutional Funding plays a crucial role in developing high-quality written content that enhances CRS's engagement with institutional donors. This position requires a hands-on approach to writing, editing, and content development, focusing on creating materials that effectively communicate CRS's impact and technical expertise. The Writer/Editor will collaborate with various teams, including Institutional Funding, Global Programs, and Creative and Storytelling, to translate complex programmatic information into clear and persuasive narratives that resonate with donors. The role also involves adapting content for different audiences and ensuring that all materials adhere to CRS's editorial standards and brand guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Writer/Editor III will be responsible for writing, editing, and producing a variety of donor-focused content, including capacity statements, briefs, pitch materials, concept notes, factsheets, talking points, project overviews, and success stories. The individual will translate technical program information into accessible language, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Coordination with social media and digital teams is essential to shape content strategy and distribution. The Writer/Editor will collaborate with Institutional Funding team members and leadership to create compelling content that highlights CRS's impact and value proposition. Additionally, the role includes supporting resource mobilization efforts, packaging content into visually engaging materials, and adapting narratives for specific institutional partners. The Writer/Editor will also provide writing and editing support for high-priority organizational needs and contribute to global campaigns and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication and have a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in marketing strategy and/or communications. Experience working with international non-government organizations and institutional donors is essential, along with a background in overseas work, preferably in an international organization. A demonstrated portfolio of successfully published articles or projects is preferred, showcasing the candidate's ability to produce high-quality content.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communication is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding marketing strategies, communication techniques, and the nuances of engaging with diverse audiences, particularly institutional donors.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of work experience in marketing strategy and/or communications. Candidates should have experience working with international non-government organizations and institutional donors, which is crucial for understanding the dynamics of donor engagement and the specific needs of various funding sources. Experience working overseas is also preferred, as it provides valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by international organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Spanish or French is preferred, as it enhances the candidate's ability to communicate with a broader range of institutional donors and stakeholders, particularly in regions where these languages are prevalent.

Additional Notes:
The Writer/Editor III position does not involve supervisory responsibilities. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
