Job Overview:
The Enumerator position is integral to the Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) project in Kazakhstan, which aims to monitor and analyze displacement and population mobility. The role involves conducting individual interviews with potential migrants to gather data that will inform the understanding of migration trends and needs. Enumerators will be responsible for ensuring that data collection adheres to IOM guidelines and ethical standards, including maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent from participants. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field supervisors and team leaders to effectively plan and execute data collection activities. The Enumerator will also be expected to document challenges encountered during the fieldwork and contribute to the overall success of the MTM project by providing accurate and timely data.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Enumerators will conduct individual interviews (IIs) with potential migrants in various locations, ensuring that data collection is thorough and compliant with IOM guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting follow-up interviews to clarify or complete data, observing and documenting the interview process, and developing success stories based on best practices observed during data collection. Enumerators must prepare for field visits by ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and establishing professional relationships with local authorities. They will maintain detailed records of daily activities, ensure the accuracy of collected data, and submit completed survey forms to the data management team. Additionally, enumerators will participate in training sessions to familiarize themselves with the methodology and IOM principles, ensuring they are well-prepared for their tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, with a completed university degree being an advantage. Relevant formal education that pertains to the assignment will also be considered. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in conducting community and household assessments or surveys, with a solid understanding of the relationship between migration and development. Experience working with international organizations, particularly UN agencies, is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work in diverse environments are essential for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include at least a high school diploma, although a completed university degree is preferred. Additional formal education relevant to the assignment will be beneficial. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience in conducting assessments and surveys within communities and households. Languages:
Fluency in oral and written Russian is mandatory, while proficiency in Kazakh and other Central Asian languages is considered an advantage. Candidates should be prepared for language assessments during the selection process, which may include both written and oral evaluations. Knowledge of IOM's official languages, including English, French, and Spanish, will also be beneficial but is not required for this position.

Additional Notes:
The Enumerator position may require travel within the designated selection region. Candidates should be aware that any offer of employment is contingent upon funding confirmation and the successful completion of medical fitness certification, residency verification, and any necessary government authorizations.
