Job Overview:
The Reporting Specialist position is crucial for the FAO Quetta office, where the individual will be responsible for producing high-quality analytical reports based on project data. This role emphasizes the importance of aligning reports with organizational goals while ensuring compliance with donor and government regulations. The Reporting Specialist will work closely with project managers and coordinators to gather necessary data and maintain effective communication channels. The position requires a proactive approach to stay informed about compliance rules and to ensure that all reporting meets donor expectations. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality of reporting and contributing to the overall success of FAO's projects in Pakistan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Reporting Specialist will undertake a variety of tasks including assisting the provincial office in the production and submission of comprehensive progress reports, providing quality assurance support to project managers, generating analytical reports that highlight key achievements and challenges, and ensuring compliance with donor and government requirements. The role also involves collaborating with finance and program teams, maintaining a reporting schedule, conducting field visits for monitoring project progress, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of reported data. The Reporting Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining a capacity building database and integrating MEAL data into progress reports, among other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible work experience in international development, particularly in program management and report writing, is required. A working knowledge of English is essential, and candidates must be nationals of Pakistan. The FAO core competencies include results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, and knowledge sharing.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in relevant fields such as Agriculture, Rural Development, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or Statistics. Candidates must have their qualifications recognized by institutions accredited in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible work experience in international development, specifically in program management and report writing. Experience in project reporting and monitoring is essential, and familiarity with the operational guidelines and procedures of FAO or other UN agencies is considered an asset. Prior experience working with international NGOs or UN organizations will be advantageous.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered a plus, particularly if they are relevant to the regions where FAO operates.
