Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications: The position requires a relevant advanced university degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, or another field related to development assistance. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with additional years of relevant professional experience may be accepted. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to interpret baseline data in the context of WFP's specialized areas to contribute to the design, implementation, and monitoring of technical programs. They should also be able to identify key variables and contextual factors influencing food assistance issues and programs throughout their lifecycle, guiding the design or redesign of quality programs. Furthermore, candidates must possess the ability to analyze and consolidate quantitative and qualitative information from various sources to inform transfer modality choices and program development, as well as the capability to collect market information and process proposals in accordance with WFP's standard rules and regulations for effective implementation. Proficiency in spreadsheet use, data presentation, and report writing is also essential.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in a relevant field such as International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, or another area related to development assistance. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with additional years of relevant professional experience may be considered acceptable.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in a field related to international development is required. Candidates should have experience in implementing technical programs, contributing to operational design, and participating in policy discussions and decisions. Experience in project management and collaboration with various stakeholders is also essential.
Languages: Fluency in French (Level C) is mandatory, and proficiency in English (Level C) is also required. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset.
