Job Overview:
The Senior Officer role is pivotal in managing the Financial Institutions (FI) portfolio, ensuring the provision and delivery of accurate portfolio and pipeline information and analysis for various institutional reporting and business purposes. This position requires a proactive approach to pipeline management, monitoring FI scorecard results, and preparing business presentations for team meetings. The Senior Officer will liaise with project teams for pipeline reconciliation, assist in annual business planning, and maintain an overview of the FI portfolio, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately recorded in information systems. The role also involves supporting the FI Portfolio Manager and Business Leaders in managing credit risk and operational risk incidents, as well as preparing quarterly reports on key risk indicators. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and contribute to the overall success of the FI division.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the pipeline management process in relation to the FI business plan and scorecard targets.
  • Monitor and report on FI scorecard results, providing forecasts and commentary to senior management.
  • Prepare updated FI business presentations for team meetings.
  • Liaise proactively with FI project teams for pipeline reconciliation and management.
  • Assist in preparing statistical and forecasting information for annual business planning and scorecard targets.
  • Maintain an overview of the FI portfolio, pipeline, and signings, ensuring accurate data recording in systems like DTM, BPN, and Monarch.
  • Manage the approval pipeline, preparing weekly reports for senior FI and Risk management.
  • Support FI Portfolio Manager with the Credit Risk Envelope process and counterparty exposure data.
  • Undertake administrative tasks related to portfolio management, including GET portfolio reports and overdue payments reports. 1
  • Assist in preparing the annual Financial Intermediaries Report, coordinating data and report content. 1
  • Support FI Portfolio Managers in recording operational risk incidents and completing entries in OneSumX. 1
  • Provide quarterly reporting on key risk indicators and assist the FI team with IT systems such as DTM, BPN, and Tableau.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in an international financial institution or donor organization.
  • Experience in the financial sector, particularly with banks or non-bank financial institutions, is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a small team in a multicultural environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and organize work efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to the audience.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Educational Background:
A good relevant degree from a leading university in the candidate's country of education is required. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized qualifications in finance or related fields may have an advantage.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in an international financial institution or donor organization. Candidates with experience in the financial sector, particularly those who have worked with banks or non-bank financial institutions, will be preferred. Familiarity with the EBRD's procedures and policies is beneficial for internal candidates.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the EBRD's operational regions would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

This is a short-term contract position with a duration of 8 months. The role is based in London, United Kingdom, and is expected to be a full-time position.
