Job Overview: The role involves recruiting a national volunteer to work closely with an implementing partner in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. The volunteer will be embedded within the project team, specifically collaborating with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Coordinator. The primary focus of this position is to support the generation of evidence and learning related to the implementation of Women, Peace, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (WPS) localization actions. This role is crucial in ensuring that the project's objectives are met through effective monitoring and evaluation practices, thereby contributing to the overall success of the initiatives aimed at empowering women and promoting peace in the region. The ideal applicant will bring experience in donor-funded project evaluation and possess strong communication skills to facilitate discussions and workshops, as well as the ability to draft clear and concise reports. Duties and Responsibilities: The volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include but are not limited to: assisting in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for the project; collecting and analyzing data related to project outcomes; supporting the MERL Coordinator in generating reports and documentation of findings; facilitating workshops and group discussions to gather insights from stakeholders; collaborating with local partners to ensure alignment with project objectives; providing recommendations based on evidence gathered to improve project implementation; and actively participating in team meetings to share progress and challenges. The volunteer will also be expected to engage with community members to understand their perspectives and experiences related to the project, ensuring that their voices are heard and considered in the evaluation process.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, particularly in the context of donor-funded projects. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires facilitating discussions and workshops with diverse groups. The ability to draft clear and concise reports is crucial for documenting findings and recommendations.
