Job Overview: The Financial Management Consultant will operate under the supervision of the PRM Coordinator, tasked with delivering high-quality financial management and analytical expertise. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate forecasting, timely reporting, and efficient utilization of funds for various projects, specifically MP1 RB and EB awards. The consultant will utilize their expertise in grant management, analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, compliance, and donor communication to enhance organizational processes and support informed decision-making. The position requires a proactive approach to financial monitoring and analysis, ensuring that the organization meets its financial obligations and maximizes its resources effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's responsibilities include conducting regular financial analyses to aid leadership in decision-making, developing and maintaining financial forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects, and monitoring extrabudgetary budgets and expenditures. This includes assessing financial risks associated with NE extra budgetary funded projects such as MSCFP, LMP, INPRO, and LEU Bank. The consultant will also strengthen internal budgeting tools and financial tracking systems, recommend and implement fund adjustments, and corrective actions as necessary. Additionally, the consultant will prepare high-quality financial reports for donors and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and will draft and review agreements and financial terms with prospective donors. Tracking funding opportunities and supporting outreach to potential donors, including planning meetings and presentations for fundraising, partnerships, and donor stewardship, will also be part of the role. Finally, the consultant will track and finalize Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) from EB/RB awards in close coordination with MTBF.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required, particularly in financial monitoring and analysis, as well as data management. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, is essential. Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is also necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills are critical for success in this role.
