In the role of Senior Officer, Alliance Management & Product Access within the Digital, Health Innovations and Artificial Intelligence (DHAI) cluster, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team in identifying and evaluating strategic business partners and licensing opportunities that align with the foundation's charitable mission. Your responsibilities will include negotiating access to key assets with both new and existing partners, ensuring that agreement structures reflect the innovation needs and associated technical risks. You will provide transaction and negotiation support to execute agreements with select private sector partners, which are essential for accessing critical assets and technologies for charitable purposes. This position requires collaboration with external partners to advance agreements that support the foundation's global health priorities, and you will report directly to the Director of Health R&D, Digital Innovation, and AI. Your work will significantly contribute to the foundation's mission of improving health outcomes and reducing inequities in India and other low- and middle-income countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Structuring and Executing Strategic Transactions: Collaborate with DHAI leadership and team members to structure, negotiate, and co-lead strategic collaborations and alliances. Ensure agreements advance innovative health assets from India, including drugs, vaccines, diagnostics, probiotics, AI tools, and technology platforms. Work with the BD&L team on transaction execution and lead post-signature management. Conduct due diligence and partner evaluations, support negotiations, and provide clear recommendations to DHAI and executive leadership. Manage multiple high-complexity opportunities concurrently, ensuring strong collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Supporting Stakeholder Engagement and Access Strategy: Leverage biopharma experience to support the DHAI team in designing and executing private-sector engagement strategies. Lead the alliance management principles and processes to manage strategic agreements. Evolve global access terms essential for achieving DHAI program goals. Support the development and implementation of programs that foster public-good data sets and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Internal Alignment and Strategic Collaboration: Establish collaborative relationships with key internal functions, including Legal and Finance. Participate in annual collaboration goal reviews and foster coordination among all partners to support the Investment Officer. Facilitate high-quality opportunity assessments and due diligence reviews, and help build local alliance management capabilities within the DHAI team.
