Job Overview:
The Senior Information Technology Assistant will play a crucial role in the Information and Communications Technology Services Section (ICTSS) of the Division of Publications Conference and Knowledge Management (PCKMD) at ECA. This position serves as the primary liaison between ICTSS and various business units, ensuring that user needs are effectively captured and translated into ICT solutions. The incumbent will support the design and delivery of ICT services that align with the organization's strategic priorities, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure timely resolution of client requests. The role also involves contributing to the development of the ICTSS cost recovery framework, assisting in project documentation, and supporting change management activities. The Senior IT Assistant will be responsible for data and knowledge management, including performance measurement and reporting, while also keeping abreast of new technologies and providing guidance to junior staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Information Technology Assistant will be responsible for a variety of duties, including: acting as the first point of contact for ICTSS and business units, ensuring user needs are captured; supporting the design and delivery of ICT services; maintaining client relationships through regular communication; tracking client requests for timely resolution; preparing briefing notes and status reports for management; contributing to the ICTSS cost recovery framework; collecting and analyzing data related to ICT services; assisting in the development of service catalogue items; preparing cost models and pricing strategies; coordinating with finance and budget teams; monitoring cost recovery performance; documenting business cases and project charters; supporting change management activities; preparing user guides and communication materials; collecting and analyzing data for performance measurement; assisting with knowledge management efforts; and providing guidance and training to junior staff or interns as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of information technology and applications, including computer system networks, is desirable. Good technical skills, including the ability to conduct network maintenance and provide server services and user support, are also desirable. Professionalism, teamwork, and technological awareness are key competencies required for this position, as the incumbent will need to work collaboratively with colleagues and stay updated on available technologies.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. While not mandatory, knowledge of information technology and applications, particularly in computer system networks, is highly desirable. Candidates with a first-level university degree or higher may have their minimum years of relevant experience reduced.

Experience:
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in ICT service support, client engagement, business analysis, or a related area is required. For candidates with a first-level university degree or higher, the minimum experience requirement is reduced to eight years. Experience with financial management or cost recovery models is desirable, as is at least one year of experience in data analytics or a related area.

Languages:
English is the required working language for this position, while French is desirable. Candidates should consult the UN Language Framework for the minimum required level for each skill in these languages.
