Job Overview:
The consultant will oversee the Joint Strategic Plans (JSPs) with 32 National Committees, which are developed and mutually agreed upon between UNICEF and each National Committee. The JSPs outline multi-year objectives, goals, and strategies for the National Committees, detailing how UNICEF will support their implementation. The role involves enhancing data visualization tools to facilitate informed decision-making and improve private sector fundraising and advocacy engagement in high-income countries. The consultant will work closely with the Relationship Team in PFP’s National Committee Relations section to maintain and develop dashboards, supporting the analysis and visualization of data related to National Committees and PSFR Country Offices. This position is crucial for maximizing engagement opportunities with National Committees and private sector partnerships, ensuring that the right data is accessible at the right time to achieve overall impact for children worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's duties include developing a workplan for reports and dashboard maintenance, creating integrated dashboards for risk management and support mapping, updating IMPACT dashboards with enhancements, and ensuring quarterly updates and maintenance. The consultant will also stabilize data models, explore AI integration, and support the development of PSFR Country Office Monitoring Dashboards. Additionally, the consultant will assist the National Committee Standing Group in data visualization and reporting, culminating in a final report summarizing the maintenance and enhancements of dashboards and data tools, along with recommendations for future updates. The deliverables are expected to improve the capacity of the National Committee Relations team and enable National Committees to access data that strengthens their fundraising and advocacy efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, or a related field. Alternatively, a first university degree (bachelor’s degree) combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data modeling and data science is required, including expertise in designing and customizing data visualizations in Power BI. Candidates should have a strong understanding of storytelling using data visualization tools, knowledge of UNICEF’s data architecture, and experience with Business Intelligence (BI) products and tools. Familiarity with integrating multiple data sources and databases using Power BI is essential, along with strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, or a related field is required. Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data modeling and data science, particularly in designing and customizing data visualizations using Power BI. Experience with UN/UNICEF’s data architecture and data visualization requirements is also necessary, along with extensive knowledge in Business Intelligence (BI) subject areas and tools. Familiarity with various business intelligence solutions to facilitate decision-making is an asset, as is experience in integrating multiple data sources and databases.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset.

The consultancy is expected to last for an estimated 14-month period, with payment made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables.
