Job Overview:
The position of Web Designer and Developer Volunteer is crucial for the organization as it seeks to enhance its online presence and improve its digital outreach. The volunteers will be responsible for various aspects of web development, including back-end and front-end development, as well as website design. The organization requires individuals who are not only skilled in web development but also dedicated to completing assignments with precision and within deadlines. The role involves creating responsive websites, developing WordPress themes and plugins, and ensuring high performance and availability of the website. Volunteers will also be tasked with implementing new features and functionalities, as well as optimizing the website for search engines to improve visibility and ranking on platforms like Google.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Back-end Development: One volunteer will manage all technical aspects of the Content Management System (CMS), ensuring high performance and availability. This includes server-side scripting, database management, and integration of various web services.
  • Front-end Development: Another volunteer will focus on creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. This involves developing WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring the website is responsive and accessible across different devices.
  • Website Architecture: The third volunteer will design and implement new features and functionalities, overseeing the entire website’s architecture. This includes ensuring that the website is optimized for search engines, enhancing its ranking on Google’s first page.
  • Collaboration: All volunteers will work closely together to ensure that the website meets the organization’s goals and objectives, providing a seamless user experience for visitors.
  • Timely Completion: Volunteers are expected to complete assignments before deadlines and provide speedy web designing services to accommodate visitors who may have limited time.

Required Qualifications:
Volunteers should possess a strong understanding of web development principles and practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is essential. Experience with WordPress development, including theme and plugin creation, is highly desirable. Volunteers should also have a good grasp of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are crucial for success in this role.

Educational Background:
While formal education in computer science, web development, or a related field is preferred, practical experience and a strong portfolio showcasing previous web development projects can be equally valuable. Volunteers should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest web technologies and trends.

Experience:
The organization seeks volunteers with varying levels of experience in web development.
