Job Overview:
The Senior Fundraising Associate (Individual & Private Sector) plays a crucial role in supporting UNICEF's fundraising efforts in Panama. This position is focused on enhancing the Individual Fundraising plan and campaigns, ensuring that the organization maximizes its impact and resources for children. The role involves providing technical support for planning, monitoring, and evaluating fundraising campaigns, as well as engaging with the private sector to strengthen UNICEF's resource base. The associate will work under the supervision of the Partnership Specialist and will be responsible for implementing the resource mobilization strategy, which includes scaling up pledge campaigns and developing a robust base of regular pledge donors. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for partnerships and leveraging digital strategies to achieve income targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for the preparation of the Individual Fundraising plan and campaigns calendar, including objectives, metrics, and KPIs. Analyze campaign KPIs and investment requirements, and assist in establishing reporting systems and performance evaluations. Prepare documentation for project proposals and work plans, manage spreadsheets, and assist in the follow-up of the PFP workplan implementation.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of fundraising activities to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement. Prepare timely reports on performance indicators and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data for reporting purposes.
  • Carry out administrative tasks effectively, including evaluating potential suppliers, preparing terms of reference, and monitoring budgets and financial expenditures to ensure compliance with UNICEF regulations.
  • Support the development and monitoring of financial and non-financial agreements with the private sector, including market trend analysis, identifying potential corporate partners, and preparing proposals. Coordinate workshops and events to raise awareness of private sector best practices in supporting children's rights.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include completion of Secondary School, with technical or university-level courses in marketing, communication, business administration, or related fields being an asset. Candidates should have a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, as well as experience in project management and evaluation.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed Secondary School, with additional technical or university-level education in relevant fields such as marketing, communication, or business administration being advantageous. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of fundraising and partnership development.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in administration, communication, or direct marketing agencies, particularly in fundraising areas. This experience should demonstrate a strong ability to manage campaigns and engage with stakeholders effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish and English is required for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
