Job Overview: The SAP Supply Chain and Procurement Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the evolution of WFP’s ERP solutions, particularly during the transition from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. This position requires collaboration across various departments to deliver tailored ERP solutions that align with WFP’s mission and operational goals. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring business continuity while optimizing existing processes for S/4HANA readiness, focusing on procurement and supply chain processes. The role demands a deep understanding of SAP modules, particularly Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD), and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable business impacts. The analyst will also support the S/4HANA upgrade, ensuring that all procurement and supply chain functions are accurately reflected and validated during the migration process.
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: collaborating on the migration of the current WINGS platform from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on procurement business processes; overseeing activities executed by WFP business partners; assessing functional impacts and validating migrated configurations; ensuring seamless transitions of procurement and supply chain processes; participating in readiness and compatibility checks; identifying potential functional impacts and dependencies for the S/4HANA conversion; acting as a liaison between project teams and business functions; collaborating with business process counterparts; supporting decision-making with impact assessments; working with key business users during UAT sessions; preparing and delivering training sessions; planning conversion sequences; reviewing master data consistency; executing functional validation post-upgrade; conducting regression testing; recommending optimization opportunities; and documenting lessons learned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in business administration, information technology, or related fields. A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience as a Business Analyst within an organization is required, with a proven record of accomplishment in the development and implementation of IT applications. Candidates should have deep knowledge of SAP Supply Chain modules, specifically MM and SD, with a strong focus on procurement workflows. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and Change Request Management processes is desirable. Strong business analysis skills, expertise in product and project management practices, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams are essential.
Educational Background: A university degree in business administration, information technology, or other related fields is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding complex business processes and IT systems, which is critical for the role of a Business Analyst in a large organization like WFP.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a progressively responsible role as a Business Analyst.
