Job Overview:
The SAP HCM and Payroll Business Analyst will play a crucial role in the evolution of WFP’s ERP solutions, particularly in the context of the transition from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. This position involves collaborating with various departments to deliver tailored ERP solutions that align with WFP's mission and operational goals. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring business continuity during the migration process, optimizing existing processes for S/4HANA readiness, and supporting the upgrade of HCM and Payroll functionalities. The role requires a deep understanding of SAP HCM and Payroll processes, as well as the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable business impacts. The analyst will also lead initiatives aimed at integrating SAP with Workday and consolidating payroll systems, ensuring that all changes are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: collaborating on the migration of the WINGS platform from SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring business continuity while optimizing processes; analyzing existing SAP HCM, Payroll, and NPO configurations; participating in readiness checks and identifying potential functional impacts; acting as a liaison between project teams and business functions; validating that existing policies are properly migrated; supporting decision-making with impact assessments; working with key business users during UAT sessions; preparing and delivering training sessions; planning conversion sequences; reviewing master data consistency; executing functional validation post-upgrade; conducting regression testing; recommending optimization opportunities; and providing go-live support for end users. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation for all projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience as a Business Analyst within an organization is required, along with a proven track record in the development and implementation of IT applications. Candidates should have deep knowledge of SAP HCM and Payroll modules, as well as experience with Non-Profit Organization solutions and integration with budgeting and funding modules. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and Change Request Management processes is desirable. Strong business analysis skills, project management expertise, and the ability to influence and collaborate across functional teams are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A university degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of business processes and IT systems, which are critical for the role of a Business Analyst in a large humanitarian organization like WFP.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in progressively responsible roles as a Business Analyst. This experience should include a proven record of accomplishment in the development and implementation of IT applications, particularly within the context of SAP systems. The ability to manage complex projects involving multiple vendors and delivery partners is also essential, as is experience in coordinating and managing projects that align with strategic objectives.

Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory, along with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or Portuguese, which is one of WFP’s working languages. This linguistic proficiency is crucial for effective communication within the diverse and multicultural environment of WFP, as well as for collaboration with international stakeholders.
