Job Overview: The position of Consultant for Institutional Development is crucial in supporting ESCWA’s efforts during Syria’s transitional phase. This role involves developing detailed briefs, conducting legislative reviews, and providing targeted technical inputs to enhance parliamentary functions. These tasks include participating in workshops, consultations, and thematic sessions related to parliamentary functions, contributing technical expertise and insights to inform discussions. The consultant will also be expected to develop detailed briefs and conduct legislative reviews that align with the needs and priorities identified by Syrian institutions. Additionally, the consultant will facilitate knowledge exchange and share best practices to enhance the parliamentary functions in Syria, ensuring that the work is responsive to the evolving context of the country’s transitional phase.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Political Science, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree in these fields is desirable. All applicants are required to submit a copy of their educational degree, as incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Furthermore, a minimum of 10 years of experience in parliamentary support, legislative reform, or legal advisory roles is required.
