Job Overview: The position of ET Consultant in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Transactions Advisory department at IFC is crucial for supporting the implementation of PPP projects. The role is broad and entails significant responsibilities, including assisting the PPP Hub leader in business development and project execution. The selected candidate will work on projects primarily in the Andean Region, Southern Cone, and Panama, contributing to the facilitation of private investments in infrastructure and social services. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the ET Consultant include: developing financial analysis and models to assess project feasibility; supporting the selection of consultants by drafting terms of reference and requests for proposals; assisting in business development activities such as preparing proposals and marketing documents; conducting project scoping to evaluate potential projects; managing project execution by preparing documentation for internal approvals; coordinating project implementation with consultants; liaising with other IFC departments; understanding the World Bank program for assigned countries; performing tasks as requested by senior team members; and developing the capacity to manage individual tasks with minimal supervision. The consultant will also be expected to develop expertise in IFC processes and internal systems management, ensuring that projects move forward efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a Master's degree in a related field such as business, finance, or economics, along with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have 5 to 10 years of experience with a leading financial institution in areas such as PPP transaction advisory, project finance, M&A, privatization advisory, or private equity. Strong analytical skills and a proven track record in developing financial models for project finance are essential. Experience in infrastructure sectors, knowledge of sector trends, and legal and regulatory requirements will be considered advantageous. The ability to work under pressure, deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines, and demonstrate teamwork skills in a culturally diverse environment is also required.
