Job Overview:
In the role of Senior Advisor, AI Strategy & Ecosystem Partnerships, the individual will be responsible for providing strategic guidance on the Foundation's AI initiatives and establishing impactful relationships with leading technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta. The position requires translating modern software and cloud capabilities into ethical and cost-effective programs aimed at improving outcomes for underserved populations, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The advisor will work closely with leadership to brief them on platform choices and partner roadmaps, ensuring that AI-enabled software can deliver significant impacts across various sectors including health, education, and government data use. The role also involves producing decision memos that outline trade-offs, budget implications, and success metrics, as well as running quarterly strategy refreshes to keep the Foundation's AI agenda aligned with its mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor will serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, briefing the President and Chair on platform choices and partner roadmaps. They will produce decision memos that detail trade-offs, budget implications, risks, and success metrics, and will conduct quarterly strategy refreshes. The advisor will also manage ecosystem partnerships, acting as the primary relationship owner with senior counterparts at major tech companies, negotiating and managing MOUs that cover model and compute credits, technical enablement, and social-impact pilots.
