Job Overview: The position of Assistente Técnico II involves providing administrative, technical, and managerial support to the National Commission for the Sustainable Development Goals (CNODS) within the framework of Project BRA/23/01
The role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets. The incumbent will assist in organizing meetings, drafting technical and administrative documents, maintaining records, and supporting the coordination of thematic chambers. The position requires active participation in various initiatives aimed at promoting the SDGs, ensuring quality and alignment with institutional guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Assistente Técnico II include:
Assisting in the preparation of meeting minutes and records.
Keeping contact lists for thematic chambers updated.
Maintaining spreadsheets with relevant data for CNODS.
Supporting the coordination of thematic chambers.
Organizing meetings, seminars, and workshops.
Actively participating in meetings and events, contributing ideas and suggestions.
Drafting official documents, technical notes, and reports. 1
Participating in consultant selection panels. 1
Tracking project demands, tasks, and activities. 1
Maintaining updated project documentation. 1
Supporting workshops and meetings as assigned. 1
Processing travel arrangements related to the project. 1
Assisting in the preparation and timely submission of reports and other required documents. 1
Executing any other tasks assigned by the project coordinator.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. They should demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and possess excellent communication skills. Familiarity with project management principles and experience in administrative roles are essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholders is also required. Candidates should be adaptable and open to learning, with a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in social sciences, public administration, international relations, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in project management or sustainable development are advantageous.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in administrative support, project management, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations or in the public sector is preferred. Familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals and experience in multi-stakeholder engagement will be considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus, as it may facilitate communication with diverse stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is a national UN Volunteer assignment based in Brasília, Brazil.
