Job Overview:
The Finance Assistant position at NRC is crucial for ensuring that financial operations are conducted in accordance with established policies and standards. The role involves a variety of financial tasks, including verifying vouchers and supporting documents, entering data into the accounting system, and preparing financial reports. The Finance Assistant will support project and program staff with financial matters, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with NRC's Financial Handbook. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: complying with the Financial Handbook and NRC policies; verifying that all vouchers and supporting documents meet the required standards; entering financial data into the accounting system; making approved payments; recording all cash movements; following up on advances and refunds; preparing and arranging for bank withdrawals and transfers; maintaining a filing system for all financial and accounting documents; preparing the monthly payroll for approval; and preparing periodic financial reports for review. Additionally, the Finance Assistant will provide support to project and program staff regarding financial matters, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and information to manage their budgets effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Finance Assistant position should possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. They should have a solid understanding of financial processes and be able to work with various financial software and systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. Educational Background:
