Job Overview: The Human Resource Officer position at WFP in Accra is designed to support the delivery of professional, client-focused HR services. The officer will partner with managers to implement HR solutions that align with WFP's corporate priorities. This role involves a variety of HR operational activities and projects that are aligned with business needs, ensuring adherence to WFP policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities:

Alternatively, a first university degree with additional relevant work experience or training may be considered. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of HR best practices and techniques, along with the ability to support junior team members. Strong analytical skills for data management and reporting are essential, as well as effective communication skills to interact with diverse individuals.
Educational Background: An advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or other related fields is required. A first university degree may be acceptable if accompanied by additional years of relevant work experience or training.
Experience: Typically, candidates should have one or more years of postgraduate professional experience in Human Resources, particularly with an interest in international humanitarian development. Experience in HR best practices and processes is essential, along with the ability to support less experienced team members and conduct basic data analysis.
Languages: Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory for international professionals. Additionally, intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese is preferred. For national professionals, fluency in English and the local language (if different) is required.
Additional Notes: This position is a fixed-term contract for one year, with the possibility of renewal. The role is based in Accra, Ghana, and is classified at the NOA grade level.
