Job Overview:
The position is situated within the Member Services and Promotion (MSP) Branch of the ISSA, which is responsible for communications, publications, member engagement, and events. The incumbent will play a crucial role in supporting the language and publications activities of the ISSA by providing standard text processing services. This includes managing translation and interpretation requests, assisting in the production of online events and publications, and ensuring the timely delivery of results. The role requires a high degree of independence, with work being reviewed primarily for quality and adherence to established processes. The incumbent will collaborate with various units within the ISSA and report directly to the Director of MSP, contributing to the overall mission of enhancing member services and promoting social security initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for receiving and recording translation requests from the MSP and other units, distributing documents for translation, and processing related invoices. They will assist in maintaining and updating the ISSA text and term bases, utilizing online translation tools for standard translations, and preparing texts for post-editing by translators. Logistical support for ISSA online events will also be part of the role, including booking interpreters, onboarding speakers, and managing event logistics. The incumbent will produce official documents, ensuring adherence to ISSA standards, and undertake quality control of documents prepared by other units. They will organize bilingual/trilingual checks for accuracy and consistency, compile final documents for publication, and prepare layouts according to typographical specifications. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of the MSP Branch and the Secretary General as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary school education, with a certificate in terminology or editing being advantageous. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, demonstrating a strong background in administrative and editorial processes. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a good understanding of applicable rules and regulations. Proficiency in computer software packages such as Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat DC is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently with various office tools and translation software. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good client management abilities are also necessary for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes the completion of secondary school education. While a certificate in terminology or editing is not mandatory, it is considered an advantage that could enhance a candidate's application. This educational background supports the necessary skills for managing translations and publications effectively within the ISSA framework.

Experience:
Candidates are expected to have at least five years of relevant experience in roles that involve translation, editing, or administrative support within an international or multicultural environment. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work independently, and collaborate with diverse teams. Familiarity with social security systems or international organizations would be beneficial but is not explicitly required.

Languages:
A strong command of English is mandatory, along with a working knowledge of a second language, which can be either French or Spanish. Additionally, having a working knowledge of the other two working languages of the ISSA (French/Spanish or German) would be advantageous, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders and documents.

This position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal up to three consecutive years, contingent upon various factors such as funding availability and performance. The entry-level salary for this position is set at 79,366 CHF per year.
