Job Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Partner role at Save the Children is a pivotal position aimed at enhancing the recruitment process across the organization’s 54 reasons division in Australia. This part-time position (0.8 FTE preferred) is designed to support the organization during a critical transition period, ensuring that recruitment strategies are effectively tailored to meet the specific needs of various programs. The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers, providing expert guidance and coaching throughout the recruitment process. This role is integral to maintaining the quality of recruitment and ensuring that the organization attracts the best talent to fulfill its mission. The Talent Acquisition Partner will also be responsible for utilizing the Applicant Tracking System efficiently and contributing to its continuous improvement, thereby enhancing the overall recruitment experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Talent Acquisition Partner will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Coaching hiring managers through the recruitment process, ensuring they understand the key objectives and challenges associated with their vacancies.
  • Tailoring recruitment strategies to meet the specific needs of the 54 reasons division, including addressing regional and remote recruitment challenges.
  • Efficiently managing the Applicant Tracking System and contributing to its continuous improvement.
  • Providing end-to-end recruitment support when necessary, particularly for bulk recruitment projects related to new tenders.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across various locations.
  • Conducting talent acquisition reporting and analytics to inform and improve recruitment strategies.
  • Managing a large number of active requisitions simultaneously while maintaining strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures throughout the recruitment process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Talent Acquisition Partner position must possess the following qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in internal talent acquisition, with a strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, with excellent relationship management skills.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple active requisitions effectively.
  • Experience in talent acquisition reporting and analytics, with the ability to leverage data to enhance recruitment strategies.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is essential for this role. Candidates should ideally hold a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in recruitment or talent acquisition would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in this area.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in talent acquisition, particularly within a high-volume recruitment environment. Experience working in a non-profit or child-focused organization would be beneficial, as it would provide insight into the unique challenges and requirements of recruiting for such organizations. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing recruitment processes from start to finish, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.

Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is a part-time role with a preferred full-time equivalent of 0.8 FTE, offering flexibility in working arrangements, including the option to work from home and in the office on a hybrid basis. The contract duration is for 12 months, and the role is based in Melbourne, Victoria. The organization offers a competitive salary of $90,000 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation and full salary packaging benefits.
