Job Overview: In the role of Regional Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team that delivers Youth and Family programs in Mount Isa, a unique and remote community in Australia. This full-time, permanent position requires you to report to the Director of Queensland and be an integral part of the Queensland leadership team. Your primary focus will be to maximize the impact of the organization by working in genuine partnership with the community, ensuring that the services provided are effective and culturally sensitive. Duties and Responsibilities: As a Regional Manager, your duties will include providing induction and supervision to new staff, managing staff performance, and supporting Team Leaders in developing, monitoring, and reviewing practices aimed at improving outcomes for service users, particularly children. You will work collaboratively with external services and agencies, fostering strong stakeholder relationships across the sector. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing existing programs, evaluating outcomes for continuous improvement, and driving new business development initiatives. Identifying, managing, and monitoring risks to service delivery, quality, staff wellbeing, and Child Safeguarding will also be key responsibilities in this role.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must possess qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field, or have significant relevant experience. You should have substantial experience leading teams in the children and families sector in Australia, along with a genuine passion for supporting and managing a high-performing team to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. Proven experience in managing budgets and developing reports is essential, as is experience working with First Nations families and communities. Additionally, you should have a track record of complex strategic planning, program management, and delivery, along with a current driver’s license.
