Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily works and construction sites, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and government regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of the shelter portfolio according to the plan of action.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents in both hard and soft copies.
- Conduct needs assessments, focus group discussions, and community meetings to mobilize community support.
- Explain project implementation methodologies, BoQs, designs, and scope of work to beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Carry out regular follow-up visits with selected project beneficiaries during and after project implementation.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and instructions for contractors.
- Produce site-level BoQs and amendments in accordance with NRC technical standards. 1
- Document existing conditions of sites and ensure safety measures are maintained throughout project implementation. 1
- Respond to beneficiary information requests and complaints as directed by the Project Coordinator and M&E unit. 1
- Participate in distribution site activities, including registration and verification of recipient households. 1
- Conduct household-level monitoring and evaluation activities and develop success stories from project implementation. 1
- Perform any other tasks relevant to the position as requested by the Project Technical Officers or Project Coordinator.
Required Qualifications:

- Experience working as a Shelter Technical Assistant or in a similar role within a humanitarian or recovery context.
- Previous experience in complex and volatile environments.
- Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

- Basic knowledge of community mobilization and technical implementation of construction projects.
- Experience in overseeing construction activities and monitoring contractors.
