Job Overview:
The position is focused on supporting the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO Mexico, specifically within the framework of a project aimed at enhancing media preparedness and response during crises. This initiative is part of a broader program that seeks to strengthen the national media ecosystem through pilot projects with selected media outlets in Tabasco, including indigenous and community media. The role involves establishing editorial policies and operational procedures during emergencies, designing contingency plans, and providing training on disaster preparedness. The volunteer will assist in various tasks related to the pilot project, ensuring that objectives and results are met effectively. Duties and Responsibilities:
The volunteer will be responsible for a range of tasks including conducting media content analysis and news monitoring, searching for and analyzing various types of data, statistics, and indicators. They will also be tasked with systematizing and updating databases, providing support for administrative and logistical tasks, and engaging in other activities that may arise in relation to the Communication and Information Sector's project. The volunteer is expected to maintain regular communication with the sector, respond to work requests promptly, and adhere to the established timelines for project activities and deliverables. Additionally, they will need to respect the rights of authorship and intellectual property concerning any work produced during their volunteering period.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 20 years old and must be Mexican nationals who have completed their studies or are in their final year of undergraduate studies (licenciatura/Técnico Superior Universitario) in communication or journalism at any higher education institution in Mexico. Basic knowledge of digital platforms for writing and editing texts, creating digital presentations, and managing databases is essential. Candidates should also possess basic English language skills, have access to the internet, and own a computer at home to facilitate their work.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completion of or enrollment in a degree program in communication or journalism. This ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to contribute effectively to the project.
