Job Overview:
The intern will work under the supervision of the Adviser to the Managing Director of the Policy and Partnerships Division (PSD) and will closely collaborate with the PSD Front Office. The primary function of this role is to support the daily operations of the Front Office, which includes coordinating and drafting briefing notes for senior management, assisting with the Managing Director's speaking engagements, and participating in key committees. The intern will also be involved in data management and analytical tasks related to policy engagement across the EBRD, aiming to enhance the impact of policy advisory and technical cooperation activities. This role requires a proactive approach to research and analysis of strategic issues that contribute to high-level documents within the department. Additionally, the intern will play a key role in managing the PSD communications work plan, which includes updating the internal intranet, writing posts and presentations, and assisting senior management with their social media accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the daily functions of the PSD Front Office, including the coordination and drafting of briefing notes for senior management.
  • Assist with the Managing Director's speaking engagements at conferences and internal events.
  • Participate in key committees and contribute to discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Perform data management and analytical tasks related to policy engagement, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of policy advisory and technical cooperation activities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis on strategic issues that inform high-level documents.
  • Manage the PSD communications work plan, including internal intranet updates and external communications.
  • Help coordinate report production, publication, and promotion efforts.
  • Engage with various departments across the Bank to ensure quality reporting of policy advisory activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and lead projects under guidance.
  • Strong understanding of economics, policy, and financial investments, particularly in the EBRD region.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including report writing and editing.
  • Strong quantitative and numerical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS List, PowerPoint, and web content management systems.
  • A proactive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in economics, finance, public policy, or a related field. A strong academic background is preferred, with a focus on subjects relevant to the role.

Experience:
The position is designed for interns, so prior professional experience is not mandatory. However, any relevant internships or volunteer work in economics, policy analysis, or related fields will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the EBRD regions is considered a plus but not required.
