Job Overview:
The Analyst of the FI Donor Programmes Team plays a crucial role in the implementation of Technical Co-operation (TC) and Co-investment grants that are mobilized for the Financial Institutions Business Group (FIBG). This position is primarily focused on managing and overseeing the implementation of various facilities and programmes, particularly those related to blended finance. The Analyst is expected to ensure the integrity and consistency of these programmes, which include the SME Competitiveness Support and Green Economy Transition Programmes. The role involves monitoring the deployment of facilities, processing incentive payments, preparing donor progress updates, and responding to queries related to donor funding. The Analyst will also support fundraising efforts and manage the evaluation and audit processes of the programmes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage blended finance Facilities/Programmes: Monitor the deployment of the Facilities/Programmes; process incentives payments to ensure compliance with documentation and donor requirements; prepare bespoke donor progress updates and reports; respond to queries related to Facilities/Programmes; ensure implementation aligns with internal Blended Finance Guidelines; comment on investment documentation; manage donor evaluation and audit processes; support fundraising and negotiations with donors.
  • Manage and/or oversee implementation of TC Programmes and stand-alone TC projects: Lead TC Grant Review process; support procurement of consultants; assist Operation Leaders in managing consultants; lead or support TC-related fundraising and negotiations with donors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong academic background and relevant work experience. They should demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and spreadsheet skills, with a keen attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to take responsibility, work independently, and proactively as part of a team. Strong organizational and administrative skills are required, as well as the ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities. Candidates should also be able to understand and enforce complex procedures.

Educational Background:
A relevant degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas may be advantageous and are often preferred by employers in this sector.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial institutions, donor programmes, or related fields. Experience in managing blended finance programmes or technical cooperation projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with donor funding processes and compliance requirements is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the EBRD's operational regions, is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
