Job Overview: In this hybrid HR Business Partner position, you will report directly to the HR Director for WRI Europe and play a crucial role in supporting staff across Europe, particularly in the London office. Your responsibilities will encompass managing HR processes, ensuring smooth operations within the Europe office, and providing data-driven HR solutions. The role requires an independent thinker capable of solving complex problems and advising on internal processes. You will be expected to work collaboratively within a global network while managing remote relationships effectively. The position is designed to enhance the employee experience and support the growing number of staff in Europe, focusing on systems implementation and data analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include: Business Partnering (70%): Facilitating a positive employee relations environment by responding to employment-related queries, managing the WRI Europe HR Inbox, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures. You will maintain personnel files and the HRIS database (Workday), support the annual performance management process, and assist in learning and development initiatives. Additionally, you will conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with HR policies. Talent Acquisition (15%): Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition Team to support recruitment processes and manage staffing administration, including visa applications. Salary/Remuneration Structure (10%): Planning and facilitating communication regarding annual salary increases and coordinating with the Europe Accounts team for payroll transfers. Change Management (5%): Engaging in special HR projects and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a healthy work environment.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must possess a completed bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, non-profit management, public administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. You should have experience in HR administrative roles, familiarity with UK labor laws, and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Experience in customer service-oriented roles and managing multiple priorities is essential, along with proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday. Collaboration with other departments, such as payroll and accounting, is also required, and experience in an international non-profit organization is a plus.
Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, non-profit management, public administration, or a related field is required. Relevant work experience can substitute for formal education, demonstrating the candidate's capability in the HR field.
Experience: Candidates should have relevant work experience in human resources administrative roles, including the development of new systems and policies to enhance efficiency. Experience in customer service-oriented positions and familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly Workday, is crucial. Additionally, candidates should have experience managing multiple competing priorities and collaborating with various departments.
Languages: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not required.
Additional Notes: This position is a hybrid role requiring 8 days per month in the London office. It is a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application, as WRI cannot sponsor visa work authorization. The potential salary for this role ranges from £45,000 to £56,000, commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
