The intern will report directly to the PSP Individual Giving Associate and collaborate with the Individual Giving team, providing support in various fundraising initiatives and marketing efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will have a diverse set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Digital Marketing: Creating and updating donation pages, advocacy pages, and other landing pages to enhance their appearance, improve conversion rates, and facilitate tracking.
Email Fundraising: Assisting the digital team in stewarding donors and supporters, which includes preparing and sending emails to engage and inform them.
Creative Support: Collaborating with the team to develop new creative content for digital ads, direct mail, and television campaigns. This may involve writing campaign briefs to share with existing agencies.
Analytics and Reporting: Conducting research and analysis of data related to all fundraising and marketing efforts. The intern will pull information from various sources to report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication materials.
Market Research: Researching current market trends and identifying new vendors for the donor acquisition program. The intern will present ongoing learnings and recommendations to the team.
Administration: Assisting with general administrative tasks and other duties as requested by the team.
Learning and Development: Participating in training sessions, team meetings, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
A university degree or college degree in progress (having completed at least 2 years of study) or a degree completed within the last 24 months is required. A degree in Communications, Marketing, or International Development is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail is essential for this role.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
The ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadlines is crucial.
Candidates should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good computer skills are necessary, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of or experience in database entry/management is an asset.
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, while French language skills are considered a strong asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes a university degree or a college degree in progress. Candidates must have completed at least two years of study or have completed their degree within the last 24 months. A degree in Communications, Marketing, or International Development is particularly relevant and advantageous for this position.

Additional Notes: This internship is a full-time position, with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party will receive a food and local transportation allowance, with a maximum allowance of $1,812.58 per month. The internship is based in Toronto, Canada, and applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application, which includes Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with valid work permits.
