Job Overview:
The Business Analyst Consultant position within UNICEF's Revenue Forecasting Team is designed to provide analytical support to the Finance Budget and Analysis Unit (BAU). The role is crucial for contributing to the Private Fundraising and Partnership (PFP) revenue projections by analyzing various fundraising streams and markets. The consultant will review the performance of National Committees and UNICEF country offices through comparative analysis of actuals against established Joint Strategic Plans and Private Sector Plans. This position will also involve providing valuable data analysis to PFP and UNICEF senior management to aid in strategic business decisions. The consultant will be responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions to capture, consolidate, organize, analyze, and report both financial and non-financial information for PFP.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have a wide range of responsibilities, including leading the update and delivery of monthly and quarterly reports to senior leadership and management, ensuring data quality, and providing commentary on key takeaways. They will participate in QFS and RER meetings and planning with internal and external clients, analyze financial data, and comment on current financial performance. The consultant will also be expected to be an expert in QFS and RER applications, manage ad-hoc requests with precision, and prepare various financial reports such as the FAC Quarterly Reporting, FR monthly reporting, and GR/BU Report. They will actively participate in the QFS and RER process, maintain dashboards and business intelligence, and develop robust forecasting models. Additionally, the consultant will manage a high level of ad-hoc requests from multiple stakeholders, including senior management, which may involve checking financial data and preparing financial presentations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in IT, finance, economy, business, or a related technical field. A minimum of two years of professional work experience in finance or business analysis is required, along with demonstrated expertise in working with data cubes. Strong modeling skills in Excel are essential, and a proven track record in using Power BI is preferred. Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) would be an asset.

Educational Background:
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: IT, finance, economy, business, or equivalent or another related technical field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary analytical skills and knowledge to perform the duties of the position effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of professional work experience in finance or business analysis. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with data cubes and strong modeling skills in Excel. Experience with Power BI is preferred, indicating that the candidate should be comfortable with data visualization and reporting tools.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Additionally, knowledge of another UN official language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse international environment.
