Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for Video Production at UNICEF Guinea-Bissau involves creating engaging video content to highlight the organization's efforts in improving the lives of children in the region. The volunteer will be responsible for producing 20 videos over a period of 20 weeks, with each video aimed at raising awareness about UNICEF's initiatives and the challenges faced by children in Guinea-Bissau. The role requires collaboration with the UNICEF communications team to ensure that the content aligns with the organization's branding and messaging guidelines. The videos will serve as a vital tool in promoting UNICEF's work and engaging various stakeholders, including the general public, donors, and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create draft designs and video products that resonate with the target audience, adhering to UNICEF's branding guidelines.
• Develop draft videos based on specific requirements provided by UNICEF and engage in discussions with the communications team to refine content.
• Implement feedback and revisions as necessary to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the videos.
• Ensure that all video content aligns with UNICEF's corporate design guidelines and messaging objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Communication Officer and Associate to ensure that the videos accurately reflect UNICEF's mission and the situation of children in Guinea-Bissau.
• Manage time effectively to meet the weekly production schedule of one video per week.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong creative skills in video production and design, with a good understanding of storytelling techniques. Familiarity with video editing software and tools is essential. Volunteers should be able to work independently while also being open to feedback and collaboration. A background in communications, media, or a related field is preferred, along with a passion for child rights and development issues.

Educational Background:
A degree or coursework in communications, media production, film studies, or a related field is desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of video production processes and techniques, as well as experience in creating engaging visual content.

Experience:
Previous experience in video production, editing, or related fields is highly beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate a portfolio of past work that showcases their ability to create compelling video content. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in humanitarian contexts is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Guinea-Bissau. Proficiency in English is also advantageous, as it may be required for communication with international stakeholders and for understanding UNICEF's global guidelines.

Additional Notes:
This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the contract is for 20 weeks, with a commitment to produce one video per week.
