Job Overview:
The Director, Head of Portfolio Management G7 is a pivotal role within the EBRD, responsible for overseeing and managing the liquidity and market risk associated with the Bank's balance sheet. This position entails managing a substantial portfolio valued at €30 billion, alongside a sovereign liquidity portfolio of €1 billion. The Director will be tasked with the dynamic management of capital duration and will serve as the primary derivatives expert within the Bank. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, and financial policy, as well as the ability to engage with trade associations and negotiate counterparty agreements. The Director will also play a crucial role in steering the Bank's strategy and financial risk management in alignment with regulatory frameworks and market conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director will be responsible for the overall management of the G7 Portfolio Management and Hard Currency Balance Sheet Management (BSM), ensuring the realization of P&L targets. Key responsibilities include managing market risks within the EBRD's risk framework, creating and maintaining liquidity products, setting the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) between Treasury and Banking, and assessing market environments for optimal asset allocation. The Director will also oversee IT strategy for Treasury, engage in Treasury Management Group activities, and represent the Treasury at various levels within the organization and externally. Additionally, the Director will be accountable for staff management, including recruitment, performance management, and development, while championing the Bank's Workplace Behaviours.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a relevant bachelor's degree, with a master's degree being desirable or equivalent experience. Extensive practical experience in financial markets is essential, ideally within a major financial institution such as a bank or asset manager. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of interest rate and FX markets, including derivatives and their dynamics. Proficiency in relevant financial products and strong technological skills in systems such as Bloomberg, Summit, and SQL+ are required. The ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders, along with effective coaching and leadership skills, is also necessary.

Educational Background:
A relevant bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree preferred. Candidates should have a strong academic background in finance, economics, or a related field, which provides a solid foundation for understanding complex financial instruments and market dynamics.

Experience:
Candidates should have extensive experience in financial markets, ideally with a background in trading, portfolio management, or a Treasury role. Experience in managing market and liquidity risks, as well as familiarity with regulatory frameworks, is crucial for success in this position.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and spoken communication skills. Additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly those relevant to the EBRD's operational regions.
