Job Overview:
The HR Analyst, Career Development and Talent Mobility position is crucial for supporting the development and implementation of career development and talent mobility initiatives within UNFPA. This role involves analyzing organizational talent mobility needs and enhancing talent management to improve organizational effectiveness. The HR Analyst will work closely with the HR Manager and other stakeholders to design and implement programs that facilitate career growth, mentorship, and talent identification. The position requires a proactive approach to managing talent mobility and ensuring that the organization is prepared for future challenges, particularly in humanitarian and fragile contexts. The HR Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with HR Business Partners and ensuring that talent management initiatives align with organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Analyst will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
  • Career Development: Coordinating the design of a cohesive career framework that aligns with corporate talent review outcomes; supporting the implementation of career coaching and mentoring initiatives; managing the design of a talent identification program for high-potential staff; overseeing the maintenance of an online talent management tool; and engaging with HR Business Partner teams to provide career guidance.
  • Talent Management and Mobility: Analyzing talent and mobility data to identify trends; coordinating the management of UNFPA’s global talent mobility architecture; supporting the development of policies that enhance staff mobility; and managing the leadership pool for key recruitment processes.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Client Relationships: Maintaining updates to HR policy portals; developing client service surveys; collecting and analyzing HR data for talent management recommendations; preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders; and conducting external benchmarks on career development and talent mobility.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, or related fields. They should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in HR and talent management, particularly in career development and talent mobility. Experience in global talent management initiatives, project management, and familiarity with HR systems and tools is essential. Strong organizational, time management, and collaboration skills are required, along with excellent written and oral communication abilities. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical skills and a good understanding of the international development sector.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, or related fields is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical foundation and practical insights needed to effectively manage talent development and mobility initiatives within a complex organizational structure.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in human resources and talent management, with a specific focus on career development and talent mobility. Experience in a globally present company or international organization is advantageous. Candidates should have a proven track record of supporting global talent management initiatives, managing multiple projects, and demonstrating exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official UN languages, particularly French and/or Spanish, is considered desirable and may enhance a candidate's profile.
