Job Overview:
The HR Analyst position at UNFPA Headquarters is integral to the Client Services Team, working closely with the Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) and HR Business Partner (HRBP). The role involves delivering a comprehensive range of high-quality HR services and programs to clients, ensuring that HR operations are executed flawlessly. The HR Analyst will support field-based managers and staff in various HR functions, including talent sourcing, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and workforce planning. This position is designed for individuals who are proactive, innovative, and capable of navigating complex HR challenges in a multicultural environment. The HR Analyst will also engage in data analytics to inform HR strategies and contribute to policy development, ensuring that UNFPA's strategic objectives are met effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Analyst will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services, which includes developing a strong understanding of HR policies to provide guidance to staff and management. Key duties include supporting the full employment life cycle from recruitment to separation, implementing key HR programs, preparing monitoring reports, and recommending improvements to HR policies and practices. The analyst will also analyze HR metrics, coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance, maintain HR event schedules, and track HR budgets. Additionally, the role involves contributing to knowledge development and sharing within the organization, participating in community-building events, and liaising with HR colleagues to share best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of progressively relevant experience in HR management, providing strategic HR support to a large client base on a global level. Experience within UNFPA is considered an asset. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of modern HR concepts and trends, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to deliver effective solutions to complex HR challenges. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential, along with the ability to handle confidential information and build rapport with staff at all levels. Familiarity with information technology systems, particularly PeopleSoft HRMS, is also desirable.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline is required for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to navigate the complexities of HR management within a global organization.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of relevant experience in HR management, with a focus on providing strategic support to a diverse client base. Experience in a development or humanitarian organization is advantageous, as it equips candidates with the necessary skills to address the unique challenges faced in such environments. The ability to work effectively in a multicultural and increasingly remote-based setting is crucial for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other official UN languages, such as Spanish, French, Russian, Arabic, or Chinese, is desirable and may enhance a candidate's suitability depending on the duty station of assignment. Proficiency in multiple languages is beneficial in fostering effective communication within the diverse UNFPA workforce.
