Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position within the Business Innovation and Change Unit (BIU) at WFP is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a recognized university program. The intern will support various projects by performing data analysis, preparing presentations, and assisting in the creation of key documents for executive management. This role is crucial for the BIU, which acts as the management consulting arm of WFP, focusing on innovation and change management. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful projects that impact humanitarian efforts globally. The internship is expected to last for six months, starting on 15 September 2025, and will require in-person attendance in Rome.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the assigned workstream or project by conducting data analysis and preparing presentations. Specific duties include editing workstream data for analysis, obtaining and clearing data from various sources, cleaning data in Excel, and preparing it for further analysis. The intern will also run initial analyses to identify fields of interest, suggest analysis approaches, and create slides to present the results. Participation in team discussions and meetings is expected, and the intern will assist the Director of Innovation and other team members with additional activities as required. This role provides an opportunity to engage with senior management and contribute to the strategic direction of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (having completed at least two years) or a graduate program, or be a recent graduate (within six months prior to application). Additionally, candidates should have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrollment in a recognized university. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, with a level of C being the minimum standard. Knowledge of another official UN language such as French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Portuguese is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes enrollment in a recognized university program, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. Candidates should have completed at least two years of their undergraduate studies or be pursuing a graduate degree. Recent graduates who have completed their studies within the last six months are also eligible to apply. The focus should be on candidates who have a strong academic record and relevant coursework that aligns with the responsibilities of the internship.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory for this internship, candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background and relevant skills that align with the duties of the position.
