Job Overview:
The Assistant position is integral to the Climate Strategy and Delivery team at the EBRD, providing essential administrative and secretarial support to senior managers and ensuring the smooth operation of their business activities. This role requires extensive interaction with various stakeholders within the bank, including Managing Directors, as well as external clients and service providers. The Assistant will be responsible for managing travel arrangements, diary management, and coordinating high-level meetings, which are critical for the effective functioning of the team. The Climate Strategy and Delivery group, consisting of around 100 professionals, is dedicated to developing and implementing the bank's green and climate strategies, making this role pivotal in supporting the bank's environmental objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant will manage and coordinate travel arrangements, including hotel bookings, itineraries, and visa applications, ensuring that all travel runs smoothly. They will support the CSD Budget Officer with budgetary functions and carry out all secretarial and administrative duties for the Climate Strategy and Delivery Team, including assisting with onboarding new team members and managing leavers. The role involves managing diaries, arranging meetings and conference calls, and ensuring that all correspondence is drafted, checked, and proofread as necessary. The Assistant will prepare presentations and documentation for meetings, maintain comprehensive filing systems, and coordinate events and conferences. They will also provide secretarial cover during absences and ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong secretarial and administrative experience, with knowledge of SAP being essential. A high school education is required, and while a recognized secretarial qualification is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills is necessary, and knowledge of additional languages such as Russian, German, French, or Arabic is advantageous. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, a proactive and flexible attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure are also critical.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes a high school diploma. While a recognized secretarial qualification is not essential, it would be beneficial for candidates to have formal training in administrative support or a related field. The role demands a strong command of English, and proficiency in additional languages is a plus, reflecting the diverse environment of the EBRD.

Experience:
Candidates should have substantial secretarial and administrative experience, ideally within a corporate or international organization. Familiarity with SAP systems is essential, and experience in managing complex travel arrangements and high-level meetings is highly desirable.
